Globsyn Business School (GBS) in association with Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) organized a workshop on the topic ‘The strategy of B-Schools in Present Meltdown Period’ at its campus on 27th June 2009. Welcoming the guests Prof. R. C. Bhattacharya (Director & Vice Chairman – Globsyn Business School) elaborated the importance of this workshop. The keynote speech of the program was delivered by Mr. Khokan Mukherjee (Mentor – Bengal Chamber Of Commerce & Industries). The notable panelists of the workshop were Dr. S.C.Saha (Director – School of Management, B.E. College, Shibpur), Dr. Bhaskar Banerjee (Advisor – Institute of Business Management, Jadavpur University), Dr. Aloke Sen (Director – Heritage Institute Of Management), Dr. Anup Sinha (Professor – IIM, Kolkata), Dr. Ashok Banerjee (Professor – IISWBM), and Dr. Subhas Bhattacharya (Director – Future Management School). The objectives of the discussion were to decide the strategy of b-schools in the present meltdown period, to formulate appropriate curriculum in the present situation, and to prepare the students to face adversities in the turbulent situation.
