On 18th November Dr. Richard O'Doherty (Associate Dean) and Ms. Kelly Robinson (Admissions & International Recruitment) of ‘University of the West of England’ visited the Globsyn Business School campus. They interacted with the students and gave a presentation on the ‘University of the West of England’. They also had a meeting with the Director of Globsyn Business School Prof. R. C. Bhattacharya and other faculties and officials.
The ‘Corporate Relationship Program’ (CRP) of Globsyn Business School which culminates in completion of placements for all of students in reputed companies has started for the year 2009. Companies like – Pepsi, Genpact, Axis Bank, Times of India, Connectiva Systems, ICICI Bank, Trisys Communications, ICMR, Microsec Capital, Datacore etc. have already recruited our students. Some of the important profiles offered by these companies are – Business Analyst, Relationship Manager, Probationary Officer, Research Associate etc. Top companies from banking, telecom, hospitality etc. are also slated to visit our campus and hire our students. The CRP cell is very upbeat with this achievement amid the present global financial meltdown.
On 31st October the ‘Governing Council’ of Globsyn Business School met at the Oberoi Grand, Kolkata. Present in the meeting were Globsyn Chairman Mr. Bikram Dasgupta, Director Prof. R. C. Bhattacharya, Mr. Ramesh Maheshwari (President and CEO – Texmaco Ltd.), Mr. Aloke Mookherjea (Chairman – Flakt India Ltd.), and Mr. Sujit Poddar (Independent Consultant). The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the "road ahead" for Globsyn Business School.
After close to half a century the dream once seen by the Martin Luther King Jr. has finally come true. Democrat candidate Barak Obama will be the 44th president of USA. With this election Obama becomes the first African-American to hold the highest office of the nation.
