Skit Competition at GBS-A

On 14th August, a skit competition was organized in which students were divided into eight groups and were asked to present a skit on the theme ‘FREEDOM’. They were given 20 minutes to prepare, following which the presentation was to be made. The teams came up with lots of interesting themes for the skits. It included discussion of issues like dowry, caste system, provincialism, Indian Youth and their concept of freedom. It spoke of misuse of freedom and social evils like bribe and other forms of corruptions. The teams were judged on their message, overall coordination, presentation and use of humour. Two teams were awarded the first and second prize.

Independence Day at Ahmedabad Campus

Globsyn Business School – Ahmedabad, celebrated the 61st Independence Day with a great honor & pride with Staff, Faculty and Students of Karnavati School of Dentistry. The tri-color was hoisted by Mr. Ritesh Hada, after which the gathering sang the national anthem. A group of students from GBS sang some patriotic songs. Later sweets were distributed to all present.

My dear countrymen, brothers, sisters and my dear children

Greetings to all of you on this happy occasion of our Independence Day. This is a sacred day for every Indian. Today we remember the sacrifice of those who under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi fought for our freedom from foreign rule. Today we remember the hard work and dedication of all those who have toiled to build a free and modern India. And we re-dedicate ourselves to that cause. We remember our farmers, our workers and our teachers. We remember our soldiers - who defend our borders in snowy mountains, in deserts, in jungles, on the shores and in the oceans.

Brothers and Sisters,

Four years ago, on this day, I stood here before you and spoke to you about our Government’s new vision for a new India. I said to you that it is our desire to build an India that is just and humane; an India that treats all its citizens as equals;

an India that is prosperous; an India that lives in peace; an India in which everyone can find work suited to his or her talent and can work for his or her brighter future. An India that is secular, that is fair and just to all its people. An India united in its diversity. It has been our sincere endeavour to work for the building of such an India.

On Saturday, 9th of August, Indian School of Business, Hyderabad conducted an open house at the Globsyn Business School Campus. ISB aspirants from all over kolkata visited Globsyn's Campus for the 2 hour interactive sessions. ISB has taken India's Management Education System to a whole new level. The Financial Times ranked ISB Top 20 in the World this year.

GBS Contributes to Flood Relief

Our Rotaract Club along with the students of Globsyn Business School & employees of Globsyn Technologies, joins hand with Ramakrishna Mission for the relief of flood affected people of East and West Midnapore districts of West Bengal. Altogether a sum of Rs. 3780, 254 clothes and basic necessity medicines were handed over to Swami Nityasatyananda for distribution. After this project we are very eager to work with Ramakrishna Mission in future.

Globsyn Hosts Rotaract District Assembly

On 3rd August 2008 RC Calcutta Metropolitan South (Globsyn Business School) co-hosted the 1st District Assembly of the RID 3291. Around 150 Rotaractors from different clubs of the district took part in the daylong event. There were different sessions for Presidents, Secretaries and members taken by senior Rotarians & Rotaractors. Past District Governor Rtn. Amitava Mukherjee took a session on ‘Leadership’. The whole program was held in Globsyn Business School campus.
