Christmas Party at GBS Ahmedabad

In order to get the glimpse of the Christmas, Globsyn Ahmedabad organized Christmas celebration on 24th December at its campus. The event started with various games and group activities which included musical chair, number games, lucky draws etc. and ended with a small refreshment party. The celebration had of full enthusiastic involvement of all the employees including Dean Dr. Abhijit Bhattacharya.

GBS students visit Hindalco

The HR major students of Globsyn Business School along with Prof. Debaprasad Chattopadhyay and Prof. Debajyoti Majumder visited the Belur Plant of seventy year old fortune 500 company Hindalco Industries Ltd. (an Aditya Birla Group company) as a part of their curriculum on industrial visit, recently.

The students interacted with Mr. Rakesh Tiga (Head – HR) and other officials who briefed them about different aspects of the company like their business model, Competency Assessment and Development Discussion (CADD) method, the HR – ERP system, Employees’ and Workers’ Union etc. The students were very excited after the enriching session which helped them to enhance their knowledge.

In different management competitions held in the city recently the students of Globsyn Business School (GBS), Kolkata performed exceedingly well to win awards in different events.

In the ‘Case Study’ competition held at ‘Impressario’ an event organized by ISB&M, Kolkata, Globsyn Business School team consisting of Priya Jaiswal, Probal Guha Thakurata, Neelakshi Saha and Dipannita Bhattacherya won the first prize, whereas Om Shankar Sharma won the second prize in the T-Shirt painting event. The debate competition at the Marine Engineering and Research Institute saw the GBS team of Zujar Kutub Bakkalla and Neena Jha lifting the Winner’s Trophy.

In ‘Brio 2009’ – the annual event of ICFAI, Globsyn Business School students competed with the students of IIM Kolkata, IISWBM, ICFAI and others in the ‘Parliamentary Debate’ event and after seven hours of grueling battle the GBS team of Zujar Kutub Bakkalla, Neena Jha, and Rohit Saharan were declared runners-up.

The management of Globsyn Business School is extremely pleased with the efforts of its students as it believes extra-curricular activities apart from studies are essential to make a complete industry-ready management professional.

Globsyn becomes AMDISA member

Globsyn Business School has received one more international recognition when it became the institutional member of AMDISA, the prestigious Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia, recently. AMDISA helps to build networks between management development institutions across the South Asian nations, through exchange of information, conducting regional conferences and providing a forum for academics and business leaders.

This recognition once again proves the quality of Globsyn’s education which already has academic tie-ups with four major global universities for its different programs.
