QAA Team visits GBS

Of the most recent events that took place at GBS, the visit of the Quality Assurance Agency or QAA (http://www.qaa.ac.uk/) on 11th-12th of March’08 is truly worth sharing. The QAA Panel Members comprised of the Chair of the Panel: Mr. Pat Noon, Associate Head of Design and Visual Arts from Coventry School of Art & Design: Mrs. Kollette Super, Acting Director & Professor of Strategic Management from Kent Business School: Prof. Paul Phillips, Senior Registry Officer, Quality Enhancement Unit (Secretary to the Panel): Ms. Alison Dyton and Associate Dean: Dr. Don Finlay.

The first day commenced with the QAA team’s tour of GBS followed by a brief presentation by Prof. R.C. Bhattacharya, after which the QAA Panel Members met with our students to know about their experiences and views. It was a unique experience for the students and for us. In the evening the QAA Panel Members attended a reception at Calcutta Club, where, along with our Senior Management Team, Alumni students and three of our students who were in Coventry University last year were also present. Day two initiated with meetings and rolled along with discussions on various subjects.

The two-day-visit of the QAA team, honestly speaking, was an exceptionally ingenious experience for all of us at GBS.
