Globsyn organizes talkshop with CMA




Globsyn Business School and Calcutta Management Association (CMA) on 24th June organized the Patton ‘talkshop’ to find out ways to debug the recession virus. The topic of the discussion was ‘Evolving IT Architecture Paradigms’ – Reducing IT Costs in Troubled Times. The eminent panel included Ms. Moushumee Basu Roy, Regional Director - East, SAP India Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Pratik Banerjee, Senior Technical Consultant, Hewlett Packard India Sales Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. M. Mazumdar, Director, Deloitte & Touche Consulting India Pvt. Ltd. The panelists discussed on the ways to keep the business viable in this turbulent time by reducing cost and delivering a better ROI. All of them were optimistic that this tough time will be over in near future and the industry will again return to its growth path. Prof. R. C. Bhattacharya – Vice Chairman & Director, Globsyn Business School along with the faculty team and students of Globsyn Business School also took part in the event.

Globsyn announces global Exec-PGDM with Evansville




Globsyn Business School, India’s first corporate B-School has announced its academic tie-up with University of Evansville (Indianapolis, USA). The academic collaboration is part of Globsyn Business School’s new strategic vision to create a truly globally networked Business School, under the aegis of its ‘Global Connect’ initiative.

Commenting on the tie-up, Bikram Dasgupta, Chairman and CEO, Globsyn Group, opined “The academic relationship with Evansville is one more step in our endeavour to create a globally networked B-School. our strategic ‘Global Connect’ initiative is a critical tool, which enmeshed with our ‘Corporate Connect’ program ensures that Indian students and executives are not only exposed to global business studies and environments but also have direct corporate interventions, from day one, to help them emerge as truly ‘Industry Ready Professionals’”.

Under the terms of the academic collaboration with the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration, University of Evansville (Indianapolis, USA), the institutions would jointly offer working professionals and executives a truly global Executive Post Graduate Management Program (Exec – PGDM), at both of Globsyn Business School’s campuses at Kolkata and Ahmedabad. A major part of the program would be conducted in India, participants would also be provided with an opportunity to pursue part of the program at the University of Evansville's British campus in Grantham, England. The program will be conducted by faculty from both the institutions, with faculty from the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration, travelling to Globsyn’s twin campuses to conduct special modules.

Globsyn hosts Tulane students




Globsyn Business School’s academic up with the prestigious AB Freeman School Business, Tulane University, USA which includes students exchange programs saw around 25 students of its ‘Executive MBA’ program flying down to Globsyn Business School’s Kolkata campus to complete the India based component of their ‘Global Module’ curriculum.

During their stay here, apart from an intensive academic regime they took time out to interact with the students and faculty team of Globsyn Business School. Mr. Bikram Dasgupta – Chairman & CEO, Globsyn Group shared his ‘Entrepreneurship’ experiences in a lively session that was highly interactive and exceptional. Prof. R. C. Bhattacharya – Director & Vice Chairman, Globsyn Business School gave an overview of Indian History and the current Indian economy.

The students and the faculty of ‘Tulane University’ whose finance program is ranked among the top ten finance programs of the world by the Financial Express, were extremely happy with GBS’ faculty team and infrastructure of Globsyn Business School and expressed a desire to visit again in the future.

Globsyn Inducts New Batch





Globsyn Business School proudly welcomed its 8th batch of PGPM and 3rd batch of PGPIB students at its campus on 16th & 17th June. Prof. R. C. Bhattacharya – Director, Globsyn Business School along with the chief guest of the program Prof. Robert Clark, Dean and Professor of Finance and International Business in the School of Business Administration at the University of Evansville, USA inaugurated the program with the lighting of lamps. Speaking in this occasion Prof. Bhattacharya welcomed the students and asked them to remain focused in these two years to shape their career, whereas Prof. Clark advised the students to ask questions in order to grow.

Mr. Bikram Dasgupta, Chairman & CEO, Globsyn Group while giving his inaugural speech said the student must not take these two years as the extension of their graduation or post graduation days because management education needs a total different approach where they won’t be taught rather they have to learn. He also informed the students that Globsyn’s unique Knowledge Finishing School TM system will create opportunities for them where they can learn and grow. He emphasized that life is not for existence rather it is for growth.

Prof. Subhendu Dey (Associate Dean – Academic Affairs), Prof. J. N. Mukhopadhyay (Dean – FD&R), Mr. Biswajit Bhattacharya (Registrar) along with other HODs, faculties, and officials were also present in the occasion.
